  I was pulled over and giving a ticket for doing 6 over. I accept that and I deserve the ticket for speeding but it's the way the officer spoke to me. Such a jerk!

  I just got pulled over because of a broken headlight. I was pulled over by 2 officers and and saw a lot more patrolling the streets for the 10 minutes I was pulled over. All these guys care about are busting drug dealers, for the most part. I told them I was just going to fill up my mom's car tank after I used her car for a long trip to Spring Hill from Gallatin. The other officer was interrogating me saying that the gas tank was already full and asked if they could search the car. I declined their request and I guess they realized that I was a waste of their time. I learned a lot about this experience with the GPD such as their tactics and motives. 1. You don't need to get out of your car to "answer some questions"... smh 2. Anything you say will be used against you so just shut up. No matter how innocent the question may seem, don't stray away from the fact that this officer's goal is to throw your butt in the pen. 3. You only have 2 options. Walk away with a ticket, or answer all the officer's questions and have your car searched. The choice is yours... Hopefully this helps whoever comes across this review, and encourages others to post tips and experiences with the GPD. I wish I remembered the first officer's name. The second guy was being a jerk and didn't even say hi or introduce himself.

  These police officers are the biggest bullies I've ever seen. We might need to look into the education department here in gallatin because oh man were these guys bullied in high school and are taking it out out the innocent civilians of the city. The word power hungry doesn't even begin to explain it. Lut thorp I believe is the head of the bullies and is teaching the rest of the officers to follow in his footsteps. I have never lived in a city where the police have such small wieners they have to compensate so badly by belittling everyone they come into contact with.

  On multiple occasions I have reached out to the officers and leadership and found them all to be responsive and compassionate. Amazed at how quickly and positively they responded. Proud to have them protecting and serving.
